Do I need a car?
Although the villa is within walking distance to a number of
restaurants, bars and supermarkets it is recommended that you hire a car
during your stay. There are a number of places to visit in the
surrounding areas and although local transport and taxis are available
they do tend to run on Spanish time. There are several car
hire companies available at the airports making it easier to collect and
drop off. We find www.holidayauto.co.uk is a good way to book with
usually has the best offers.
How do I reserve the villa?
You can reserve the villa by sending through confirmation by email
from the ownersdirect website (www.ownersdirect.co.uk - Ref
S6965). You will be asked to choose a payment method for the 30%
deposit. You may pay by Cheque, PayPal, Bank Transfer or Credit
Card. Please note that all payments made by credit card are subject to a
handling fee of 2.75%. When you make a reservation, you will
receive a confirmation email from us requesting your deposit on the
villa. Your sending payment in response to this confirmation constitutes
your acceptance and agreement to the terms below. If you have any
problems or questions with any of the following, please contact us
for an explanation before you send us your rental deposit.
When is my balance due and how can I pay?
The balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure. You may pay by Cheque,
PayPal, Bank Transfer or Credit Card. Please note that all payments
made by credit card are subject to a handling fee of 2.75%. Cheques will
normally only be accepted for payment if received more than 8 weeks
prior to departure.
Can we occupy the villa before 4pm on the day of arrival?
On arrival day we hope you have a pleasant journey and find the
property as you expected. During the busy period Saturdays are our main
turnaround days although in the quieter periods we will try and
accommodate alternatives. Checkin time is normally 4pm although we will
try and accommodate earlier arrivals where possible.
Can we vacate the villa later than the confirmed time of 10am?
We ask visitors to vacate the villa by 10am to allow us to clean
before the next guests arrive. If you are not flying until later in the
day if you let us know in advance where possible we will try and
accommodate a later checkout. Gena will be available for you to hand
over the keys or will discuss on your arrival any alternative
arrangements.
Where will I collect the keys to the villa?
Upon arrival you are asked to knock on the apartment marked as 35b
within the grounds. Gena will be waiting to show you into the villa and
answer any of your immediate questions.
What information is available upon arrival?
You will find an information pack on your arrival which includes
details on how various things operate within the house. If you find that
anything is not operating as expected then please let us know as soon as
possible so we can rectify the problem with minimum disruption to your
holiday. The pack includes details and directions to the local
restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Gena has been in the area for over 7
years and is a great source of information. She also runs a shop within
Benidorm that sells tickets for all the local attractions and is more
than happy to help you plan your activities during your stay if
required.
Are towels and linen provided at the villa?
The villa has bedding and indoors towels for each guest. If you have
any special requests such as extra pillows please let us know. We
normally ask our guests to bring their own beach towels but these can be
made available for 5 euros each.
Will an iron and ironing board be provided?
The villa has an iron and ironing board.
Are hairdryers provided?
No, you will need to take your own.
Will I need to take travel adaptor plugs?
Yes - the villa is fitted with local plug sockets so you will need to
provide your own adaptors for any electrical items you take with
you.
If satellite TV is provided, which channels can I expect to
receive?
We have satellite TV within the villa with a limited number of
English channels such as BBC, ITV etc. Please note that at certain times
during late evening the signal strength weakens and can affect the
picture quality.
What happens if something breaks during the stay?
The guests are responsible for taking all reasonable care of the
property and its contents. We ask that at the end of your stay, the
villa and its contents, including all equipment, furniture, utensils,
etc be left clean and tidy which includes the crockery and cutlery
cleaned and stored in the appropriate cupboards and ensure that the
cooker, oven, fridge and microwave are clean. We ask guests to ensure
that no member of the party engages in any activity in or around the
villa and swimming pool which may cause damage, offence to the neighbors,
pollution to the water or damage to the structure or filtration
equipment, this includes unacceptable anti-social behavior. The guests
should also ensure that the barbecue is cleaned and that all rubbish is
cleared away from the property and placed in the communal
dustbins. Except in the case of normal wear and tear, the
guests will be responsible for making good any damage to the villa or
its contents which has occurred due to negligence, willful damage or
irresponsible behavior on the part of those occupying the villa or their
guests. Such damage must be immediately reported to us. The cost of the
replacement or damage must be paid for by the guests. A figure of 150
euros (unless otherwise advised) is held against damage to the property,
furnishings, excessive cleaning requirements or unnecessary call-outs,
including those outlined in above.
Is the pool heated?
No the pool is not heated and therefore can get quite cold during the
winter months.
What are the passport and driving license requirements abroad?
All passengers must carry a valid 10 year passport with at least 6
months validity prior to the expiry date on the date of the return
journey. Standard UK driving licenses must be produced by all drivers to
the car hire company. If you have the new style license with
photographic ID, you will need to produce both parts for the license to
be valid. When driving in Spain you will need to have your documentation
on you at all times.
Does anyone else have access to the villa during our stay?
We will not enter the villa unless we have your prior consent or in
the case of an emergency. However, we do reserve the right of access to
the villa at any time (with due regard to the convenience of the guests)
for the purpose of linen changes, inspection of the property and to
carry out any essential or routine repair or maintenance
work.
Can I change the number of guests staying within the villa other
than that declared during the booking?
Only guests first identified on the booking form may occupy the
villa. The villa cannot be re-let or sublet to any other group/party or
individual without our written consent.
Do you allow animals to stay at the villa?
Generally we only accept small dogs to stay at our villa. However,
there may be certain exceptions, please enquire. In the case of any dogs
staying we do ask the guests to ensure the garden is cleared of any dog
waste at the end of their stay. An extra cleaning fee of 50 euros may be
applied at the time if required.
Is there any food upon arrival in the villa?
The villa is self catering and therefore we are by law required to
empty the villa of any food before your arrival. For your convenience we
always leave a few toilet rolls in each bathroom. The supermarkets are
very near by and the welcome pack provides you with directions. However,
please note that in the winter months some supermarkets close on a
Sunday.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
If you wish to cancel a booking, you should notify us as early as
possible, by email, letter or fax. Depending on the time left until the
beginning of the rental period, refunds are calculated in accordance
with the following table:

We strongly suggest you take the out appropriate travel insurance to
cover you for any eventualities.
